Air conditioning engineers based in Hawkinge, Folkestone. Founded by Liam Billance and Jacques Brown, with over 20 years of combined experience, specialising in the design, supply and installation of air conditioning, and maintenance contracts for commercial clients.
Who we are
JIB Cooling was founded by Liam Billance and Jacques Brown, two experienced air conditioning engineers who built their careers working on domestic and commercial projects across Kent. With more than 20 years of combined experience between them, they set up JIB Cooling to offer a straightforward, reliable service to customers in the Folkestone area and across the county.
The business is based in Hawkinge, which puts us close to Folkestone, Hythe, Dover and Canterbury. We work across the full breadth of Kent, from residential projects in smaller towns to commercial installations in larger buildings.
JIB Cooling handles design, supply and installation for homes and businesses, plus maintenance contracts for commercial clients. We supply and install systems from the leading manufacturers, and we maintain commercial systems installed by other contractors too. All major brands, whatever the original installer.
Accreditations and registrations
Our accreditations mean customers can be confident the work is done correctly, safely and in line with current regulations.
REFCOM
The Register of Companies Competent to Handle Refrigerants. REFCOM registration confirms our engineers are qualified to work with F-gas refrigerants under UK regulations, a legal requirement for any company handling refrigerants. Every service and installation is documented with the appropriate compliance records.
CSCS
The Construction Skills Certification Scheme. CSCS registration demonstrates that our operatives meet the site safety standards required on commercial construction sites. This is relevant for commercial projects and any work on managed premises that requires proof of competence.
IPAF
The International Powered Access Federation. IPAF certification confirms our engineers are trained to operate powered access equipment, such as scissor lifts and cherry pickers, safely and legally. This is required where working at height is necessary on commercial premises.
PASMA
The Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association. PASMA registration confirms competence in the safe assembly and use of mobile aluminium scaffold towers. Alongside IPAF, this means JIB Cooling can handle the full range of working-at-height requirements without subcontracting.
