What a service visit includes
Air conditioning systems should be serviced at least once a year. During a service visit, our engineer carries out a thorough check of the indoor and outdoor units, cleans the filters and heat exchangers, tests refrigerant pressures, inspects electrical connections, and checks the condensate drain. Any issues found are flagged and discussed before additional work is carried out.
Under F-gas regulations, systems containing refrigerant above certain thresholds require regular leak checks. JIB Cooling is REFCOM registered, which means we are certified to handle refrigerants and can provide the compliance records that landlords, facilities managers and commercial operators are required to keep.
We service systems across Ashford, Canterbury, Folkestone, Hythe, Dover, Deal and Hawkinge. Service intervals can be arranged as annual visits or on a more frequent basis for high-use commercial systems.

Why regular servicing matters
A system that is not serviced will gradually lose efficiency. Blocked filters and dirty coils mean the system has to work harder to achieve the same result, which increases running costs and puts additional strain on the compressor. Catching small issues early, such as a slow refrigerant leak or a partially blocked drain, prevents them from becoming expensive faults.
For businesses, a service record also demonstrates compliance with manufacturer warranty requirements and, where applicable, F-gas reporting obligations.
