The brief
The client wanted proper temperature control without the house looking like a commercial premises.
On a domestic job the standard is not just whether it works. It is whether the homeowner is happy looking at it every day.
Approach
The indoor unit is sited high and centred on the wall for even distribution, with the pipe run taken straight into concealed trunking so there is no visible cabling in the room.
Outside, the condenser is mounted on wall brackets rather than sat on the paving. That keeps it clear of standing water and leaf debris, makes servicing easier, and leaves the patio usable.
External pipework and condensate run in white trunking, taken down alongside the existing rainwater downpipe so it reads as part of the building rather than something bolted on afterwards. The external isolator sits adjacent to the unit.
The system was commissioned, tested and handed over with the controls demonstrated to the client.
Outcome
A tidy, unobtrusive installation the client is happy to live with, backed by a 5 year manufacturer warranty, a matched 5 year warranty on all installation works from JIB Cooling, and an aftercare programme.
